History

The Bridge Market In 2004, The Rose Family and David Starling founded the hospitality development company today known as The Rose Group. Before forming The Rose Group, the Rose family oversaw the management of Cipriani’s New York catering division. During their time with Cipriani’s, the family opened and redeveloped several venues, helping Cipriani’s to become one of the top hospitality groups in the northeast.

In the firm’s infancy, The Rose Group acted as event venue consultants, working with several world-renowned clients including The Plaza Athenee Hotel, The Carlyle Hotel, and The Millennium Broadway Hotel. From 2004 to 2006, the group managed the event venue Capitale on New York’s Lower Eastside. In 2006, The Rose Group signed an agreement to re-develop and manage Guastavino’s, a NYC interior landmark and the quintessential New York hidden gem. The venue, located under the 59thh Street Bridge, has since gone through a multimillion-dollar renovation and developed into one of the top event spaces in New York City.

The latest addition to The Rose Group’s portfolio is 583 Park Avenue, a landmark venue located on New York’s Upper East Side. Built in 1923 by the renowned architectural firm of Delano & Aldrich, 583 Park Avenue is an elegant space reminiscent of a bygone era. Since its grand reopening in the late 2000’s, 583 Park Avenue has become a favorite host of weddings, galas, private parties and corporate events.

Guastavino’s and 583 Park Avenue are currently accepting bookings for private, corporate and non-profit events in New York. Visit our Venues page or Contact The Rose Group today to learn more.
